Mondays 5:30 PM - 7 PM

Need help with completing a task? All Project Connection clients, including those receiving Skills, TCM, or CTI services, are welcome to attend this group. The primary focus for this group is creating a space for clients that may need additional support with completing tasks (e.g., job application, applying for assistance programs, schedule creation, etc.) and pairing them with staff and peer who can help guide towards the achievement of goals.

CTI Group

Wednesdays 4 PM - 5:30 PM

The CTI Group is designed for clients who are part of Critical Time Intervention (CTI) program. In addition, the group will include discussion on various topics (e.g., anxiety, medication, stress, etc) and therapeutic games that invoke growth opportunities for CTI clients. Projects or tasks (e.g., checking-in with other group members) may also be assigned to group members to foster connections outside the CTI group setting. On occasion group activities will be provided by Project Connection to help with CTI members various socialization goals.

The Daring Way™

The Daring Way™ is an empirically-based methodology based on the research of Brene Brown. The work focuses on courage building, shame resilience, and uncovering the power of vulnerability.  The methodology is designed for work with individuals, couples, families and groups. The Daring Way trainings and workshops are offered by Lennie Knowlton, CMHC who is a Certified Daring Way Facilitatior and the Rocky Mountain Region Leader for The Daring Way.

Trauma-Informed yoga

The latest trauma research proves that most of our reactions and emotions come from the body up, not the brain down. Trauma-informed yoga puts this research to use with classes that focus on working with emotions stored in the body, facilitating increased mind-body connection, regulation and self-compassion. These classes are provided by Project Connection therapists, as well as other professionals who have been trained through the Clinical Yoga Institute. Classes are offered for mental health professionals as well as current Project Connection clients.

Suggested donation for the class is $10. Use the link below to register. Email any questions to ealtman@projectconnection.co

Daring Greatly Workshop

Are you ready to make new friendships, reconnect with a wider circle of people, or feel more connected and fulfilled by the relationships in your life? Are you wanting to find the courage to reengage with the world after Covid but also show up more as yourself this time around?

If you're striving to reconnect bravely and wholeheartedly, this event is for you! Join Lennie Knowlton, CMHC, attachment therapist and certified Daring Way™ facilitator as she uses the Daring Way™ framework, a methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, to explore our deep need for connection and the things that get in the way.

We will rumble with shame, vulnerability, and fear, as well as talk strategies for cultivating exciting, meaningful relationships.

We will keep it light while keeping it real, and participants will walk away armed with awareness and tools for reconnecting with others in 2023.

A portion of proceeds will go to Project Connection, a local non-profit that provides mental health services and community connection for underserved populations in Utah.

Parenting with the Brain in Mind

Did you know that your child learns to regulate their emotions through you?  In this six-week therapeutic group, you will learn the psychology of emotion regulation, how past events and feelings can get in the way and specific ways to connect with your child that will decrease outbursts, arguments and negative behaviors. This course will leave you with the skills to improve balance, connection and emotional intelligence for you and your child.
