Sometimes it is necessary to meet people where they are

Our community-based programs take mental health resources out into the community to meet those who need them most.

Critical Time Intervention (CTI) is an out of the box case management program specifically for individuals who are transitioning from in-patient mental health care.

Over a 9-month, 3 phase timeline, our CTI team uses this evidence-based intervention to  increase our client’s access to formal resources as well as helps them establish informal connection points in the community specific to their goals and values.  This model allows for immediate access to services and meaningful long-term support for clients.

School-Based Therapy Programs

Project Connection has satellite offices in select Salt Lake County schools.  This allows for collaboration with the school team to the extent it is approved by parent/guardian.  Our school-based therapists provide trauma-informed care and clinical interventions not available through the school team.

Therapy at school during the school day reduces barriers to treatment due to scheduling or transportation issues. Our therapists are mindful of academics and aim to schedule sessions with minimal academic impact.

Respite provides children ages 7-18 with mental health diagnosis an opportunity to build relationships, experience their community, connect with nature and engage in service while providing time for their parents or caregivers to foster other relationships, complete daily tasks and engage in self-care.

Respite is provided by an invested, non-clinical provider who is committed to a consistent group of youth. This consistency allows for organic relationships to be made and for trust to be built.
